November 2007 Morning Show Archives
November 28
Busy morning!!! It started off with our trivia question that took us down memory lane with songs from the 80's that we all know but always sing the wrong words to! You know we're suckers for lame 80's hits!
We granted another great Christmas Wish to a family in the area going through some tough times. Never fear, the three children WILL have presents under the tree this year thanks to Vulcraft in Norfolk!
Also, Angie and Lydee Jo were driving back from the Holiday Lighted parade in Neligh last night and they lost the big plywood standup off the back of the trailer while driving down 275! Of course they didn't realize it until they got back to Norfolk! Luckily, one of our great listeners (Mike from The Kitchen Place) hit it and didn't sue us! Anyway, that led us to ask "what have you lost out the back of your truck or trailer?" We had some great stories...thanks for the calls!

We granted another great Christmas wish this morning for the Korth family. They are a wonderful family who has had a tough few months after their son, Joe, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. Thanks to lots of prayers, Joe's treatment is going well but as you can imagine it has been a very tough time on the famliy. So, thanks to Donna at Divot's, the entire Korth family will be able to attend their Holiday dinner theatre December 23rd. And Tina at Yoga/Pilates studio in Norfolk has given Kathy a wonderful package of workouts so she can have a little "me" time to work out.
There were lots of great items on Dave's Country Store this morning. Check them out by clicking on the link to the right!

What a wild morning! Matt Meyer has been filling in for Angie who is out with illness (yes, she blames Dave for giving her his cold!). After seeing a little dog being walked down the street with one of those "cone" collars around his neck, Dave thought it would be funny to see a human in one...Matt was offered up as the test bed. Dave and Jason sent him to Sonic and gave people a chance to take a "Tater Tot Shot" into the cone around his hear for a chance to win prizes. Then, they sent him to Hy-Vee East to pick up some Scooby Snack treats. Matt then went in to the eating area and sat there and ate his "treat" while barking like a dog. Needless to say, several people were more than disturbed by the site. Way to take one for the team, Matt!

Welcome to November!!!! Wow, less than 2 months until Christmas! First off, thanks to all of you who spent lots of time trying to get through on the phones for the Secret Sound Game!!! Congratulations to our winners! We'll be back with more ways to win soon!
About 7:20 this morning, I played an audio clip from a 12-year old boy from Nebraska. This was aired on a Christian radio station in Texas, KSBJ. This boy talks about his conversation with God when trying to understand why he had to put down a calf earlier in the day. It is easily one of the most powerful things I have ever heard. Whether you are religous or not, it's worth listening to as we have all had to go through the loss of someone in our lives. Please click here to listen.
Have a Great Day!
