TO FAX OR NOT TO FAX! The US 92 fax machine has finally found a new home. We took calls from new or start up businesses that needed a fax machine for their business. We received 5 requests for this stellar piece of office equipment...Laurel Welding, Kucera Painting, Bartak Auction Services, Yoga Pilates Studio and Romans 2. We took votes on air, and by a very narrow margin ... the fax machine will be going to Romans 2 when they open up later this month.

QUILTING PLAN - We continue to gather t-shirts for the US 92 community t-shirt quilt. Check the list to the right under Odds & Ends to see if we have a shirt from your town yet. If not, we'd love to include it!

WAYNE COUNTY FAIR - It has begun and we can't wait for the Little Big Town & Jamie O'Neal concert Saturday night.  We talked with Kimerly Roads from Little Big Town this morning.  She shared about the recent marriage within the group, as well as, their excitement about returning to the Cornhusker State.  The concert gets started at 7:00 - and tickets are only $10.

BIG RIG UPDATE - Dave checked in on the latest status of the US 92 semi.  It's been stripped down and going to the sandblasting unit on Monday morning.  

ASK THE DOC - Michelle Niewhoner, Certified Physicians Assistance at Midwest Health Partners stopped by to answer questions about sports Injuries and sports hysicals that are going to be needed for the upcoming school year.

NEW SPORTS GUY? Dave & Angie's friend Jason Doele stopped by the station this morning. Dave has determined that Jason was probably a lounge singer in another life because he LOVES being on the microphone. So we offered him a job. He did the sports at 7:30 and 8:30. If he shows up tomorrow morning at 6:30, we told him he can have a staff shirt.

DIAMONDS OR NO DIAMONDS  Jana Anderson will be the lucky contestant at the Wayne County Fair on Saturday night before the Little Big Town/Jamie O'Neal concert.  She will be dealing with the "Diamond King" for her chance to win a $3200 diamond ring!  Come by and cheer Jana on at 6:00 Saturday night.

Chrome Shop Mafia - Brian, AKA Chrome Shop Mafia King Pin, called in this morning to tell us all about his work with CMT and the Trick My Truck show. Did you know that they put in a minimum of 400 man hours on each truck they do for the show - and it's only a 30 minute show. That's a lot of work. Brian is very excited about working on our semi. He says it will be the first radio station mobile studio party truck in the country! It looks like September will be when they can start working on the semi at their shop in Joplin, Missouri. Don't forget to check out the BEFORE pictures of the semi on our Media Gallery to the right.

Truck Stop Recipes - In honor of Brian's call, Angie decided we needed some good truckin' food! On the Hee Haw website she found a recipe fro Hopping John Casserole. Not too bad, needs a few more spices, try it and let us know what you think!

Wedding Trivia - Rob and Tina competed in wedding trivia for their chance to win tickets to the Wayne County Fair thanks to Wayne State College. Tina won - but it was a close game with some really hard questions. Did you know that the average engagement only lasts 6 months? Neither did we!

Community Quilt - Don't forget to send us a t-shirt from your town. We're going to be making a quilt that represents all of Northeast Nebraska. Dave headed out to the Northeast Community College truck driving school to get his first lesson in driving the "Big Rig." Dave Pobanz was the very patient and courageous instructor who worked with Dave He only ran over a couple of orange cones on the driving course! We also talked about all of the great activities going on around the area over the weekend. Hope to see you all out there enjoying yourself in Northeast Nebraska!

Corrine Duel filled in for Angie at the newsdesk today. Dave was very excited to get another email from Bryan, the Chrome Shop Mafia "Kingpin" this morning. Bryan says they have some awesome ideas for the US92 semi and that they love the name "Air Time" for the truck. Bryan thinks they will be able to get the truck in their shop in Joplin, MO around the 10-15th of September.
