Santa stopped by the station today to tell us to come see him tonight at Culver's in Norfolk from 6-8pm. BREAKING NEWS:  FAIRBURY - Fairbury police are looking for a convicted sex offender in Madison County who they say may be armed.  Fairbury police say 30-year old Billy Barritt is facing two counts of sexual assault of a child in Fairbury in southeast Nebraska. They say he fled his home upon learning about the investigation and is now believed to be traveling between Fairbury and Norfolk. Barrett is a convicted sex offender in Madison County. Barritt is described as 5'7", 180 pounds with brown hair and glasses. He is believed to be driving a black 1997 Chevy K1500 pickup bearing Nebraska license plate number 33-2172. He's  Anyone with information is urged to contact their local authorities or the Fairbury police at 402-729-3355. About 200 people on hand for the Lower Elkhorn NRD meeting regarding irrigation control. Newly elected District 19 State Sen. Jim Scheer met with the Norfolk Chamber Legislative Council for the first time this morning. Much more coming on the meeting at noon today!
**TWO WOODLAND PARK RESIDENTS INJURED IN SUNDAY FIRE**
A house fire in Woodland Park Sunday afternoon sent two people to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.  Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says just after noon, Hoskins and Woodland Park fire and rescue officials were called to 311 Kimberly Way where they worked for more than one hour to fight a blaze that severely damaged the home.  Unger says the residents of the home, Leonard and Phyllis Lurz were taken to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk for treatment of smoke inhalation.  Along with Hoskins and Woodland Park crews, the Norfolk Fire Division and Stanton County Emergency Management also assisted at the scene.  The Northeast Nebraska Chapter of the American Red Cross was on hand to provide assistance to the occupants and the firefighters.  So far, the cause of the fire has not yet been named.
