Go Red Challenge
US92 is excited to partner with Dr. Tom Brandt & Alegent Creighton Clinic with the American Heart Association for the Go Red Challenge!
13 women have been chosen to participate in a 12-week health makeover called the Go Red Challenge. Throughout the program the ladies will meet each week to learn how to take care of their heart and their bodies.
US 92′s own Angie Stenger is one of the women going through the Go Red Challenge. We will be tracking each week’s activities and sharing with you how you can implement the ideas into your own life.
BetterU is a free, online course designed to help today’s busy woman embrace heart health and serves as the inspiration for this challenge. Sign up and follow along at www.goredforwomen.org/betteru/
Why should you be a part of the Go Red Challenge?
One in every three women dies of cardiovascular disease and nearly all of us are at risk. In fact, 90 percent of women have one or more risk factor for heart disease or stroke. Despite these staggering facts, only one in five women considers heart disease her greatest health threat.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, but it is largely preventable if you make the right lifestyle choices. The Go Red Challenge encourages women to live a healthier lifestyle, and raises awareness about the importance of heart-healthy choices for ourselves and for our loved ones.
